I’ve created this cocktail in conjunction with Corky’s Schnapps who have rebranded in November with a gorgeous new sleeve to their bottles. Corky’s Schnapps come in five awesome flavours: Sour Apple, Sour Cherry, Raspberry Glitter, Blueberry Glitter and Mango Glitter; they are the only glitter schnapps on the market! This recipe uses the Raspberry Glitter. *
I was trying to come up with an interesting idea to use the Raspberry Glitter as many Schnapps based cocktails tend to be very fruity and sweet. Don’t get me wrong, I like my fruity cocktails, but I wanted something that made the Raspberry Glitter the showstopper.
Over my boyfriend’s birthday, he was drinking White Russians and that got me thinking, what if I were to use milk as a base for this cocktail? Milk and raspberry might seem an odd choice but using a little cocoa to make chocolate milk, Slumber Party is born! Raspberry and chocolate are well utilised in the dessert world, and this cocktail marries those well-known flavours.
The taste is girly and decadent, which reminds me of a girly slumber party.
- 200ml milk or soy milk
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 2 fl oz (2 shots) Corky's Raspberry Glitter
- raspberries to serve (optional)
- Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker or blender
- Pour into a glass
- Serve with a couple of raspberries
- Don't worry if the raspberries fall into the glass, they are delicious to eat in this milky concoction!
