The UoM Food Market runs at the University of Manchester every Tuesday from 11:30am – 2:30pm. It is set up on Bridgeford Street, next to the Manchester Museum so it’s quite easy to locate. The UoM Food Market is basically Levenshulme market but with just food!
I first noticed the Greenhouse Vegetarian Cafe due to the appearance of these gorgeous mint planters right outside the entrance. What used to be dead space is now a quaint place for coffee or lunch. I had high hopes for the food served as I knew they served coffee from Ancoats Coffee Co. (I should note here that I’m not a coffee drinker, but I have heard others praise Ancoats Coffee Co. for their coffee).
The Northern Quarter restaurant was offering 40% off their A La Carte menu with a voucher so I went there to finally check it out. I’ve been interested in this place for a while due to their seasonal menus and rich foods including game and uncommon vegetables. I went there for early dinner accompanied by my friend, Ryo. Note that I went when they had their Autumn 2015 menu on.
