at Bill’s Restaurant

I was first introduced to Bill’s Restaurant years ago by a friend who was looking for good places to eat breakfast in London. The breakfast impressed me at the time, so when I went back to visit London recently, this was a no-brainer, plus it was close to where we were staying! Less thinking, more eating! This review is of the Holborn branch in London.

It’s worth noting that Bill’s Restaurant has now expanded to Manchester and can be found just off Deansgate and inside the intu Trafford Centre. The menus are similar across all Bill’s chains.

Time Out spread

at the Time Out Market / Mercado da Ribeirain in Lisbon

Elsa and Ryo spent 5 days in Lisbon and here we summarise our food adventures with you.

This post will focus on the food we had at the Time Out Mercado da Ribeirain, a huge market of which one half is the sale of fresh fruit, vegetables and meat and the other half, a fancy food hall which serves alcohol. This review will focus on the latter. Most stalls have a proper restaurant outside the market area.

Elsa and Ryo were recommended the Time Out market by our Airbnb host, so on the first evening of our arrival we walked there to see what it was like.

The sides

at Burger & Lobster [CLOSED in Manchester, open elsewhere]

discovered Burger and Lobster were doing a soft launch before their grand opening in Manchester. My friend and I have heard much about Burger and Lobster through their London branches, although neither of us had been to try their food before. Thus we went one evening to try out how good their food was.*

The Manchester branch is now closed, but there are still branches in London.
