You may have already guessed, but I love my foodie events. I have spent an entire day previously at the Cake and Bake Show and the Ideal Home Show. The Eat and Drink Festival is coming to Manchester in June at Event City near the Trafford Centre and they are working with me to provide one lucky person with a chance at winning two tickets to it!
I don’t often pop into town around lunch time as I don’t work in the city centre, but I really like the Arndale market’s mix of varied food stalls. When Sue Gregson, Assistant Market Manager, emailed me inviting me to the relaunch and to meet the traders, I jumped at the opportunity! I really like getting to know the people behind the food so this was perfectly me!
I’m don’t eat pizza often as I tend to crave other foods when I’m out, but after the pizza I had at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, and the pizza I had in Finland, I was feeling the pizza craze. Pizza Express in Didsbury kindly invited me to visit following their refurbishment, so I went in with two of my friends, ready for a good meal!*
I was kindly invited to the launch of Manchester Smokehouse & Cellar, a brand new restaurant hitting the Manchester scene near the town hall. It was a gorgeous sunny day and I looked forward to an evening of nice food! With my friend in tow, we descended the steps to the restaurant.*
The Bill’s Backyard Party was a Yelp event and was supposed to take place in the outside area, but unfortunately, the sun had disappeared by the time evening approached. Fret not! Bill’s had a plan and we were shown to one side of the restaurant next to the backyard part. At least it was still bright and pleasant!*
I joined Yelp a while back but only started making an attempt to add my reviews to it recently. I noticed an event to celebrate Zouk’s 7th birthday and thought I’d tag along and meet some of the Yelp community. I’ve been to Zouk twice and have enjoyed their food very much both times, so looked forward to a fun evening.
